Working Together to Stay Safe During Covid19


The current World health crisis we are currently facing has created challenges beyond our imagination. First, and foremost, our priority is the health and safety of our clients, our staff, and the community at large. Secondly, we want to ensure that we assist our clients in any way that we can during this challenging time.


We value the relationships that we have built with our clients and we are here to help with any business challenges you presently face.


As a member of our communities, we have a responsibility to contribute in any way that we can to slow the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. The best way we can contribute is to minimize interpersonal contact and practice effective social distancing. We are encouraging some of our staff to work remotely and we are restricting our staff’s attendance at client premises. As a result, we have made the decision to restrict client access to drop off only and will conduct any meetings or discussions to telephone only. This change will be in effect from 5pm March 19, 2020 until April 6, 2020 (subject to ongoing review).


During this time, we will continue to respond to our clients needs and process income tax returns. If you have documents to pickup or sign, please contact us to make alternate arrangements. Like you, we continue to monitor the developments of this pandemic and will respond to them accordingly.

McIntosh Norton Williams, CPA is a partnership of Chartered Professional Accountants with offices in Port Alberni, Parksville and Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

We formed as a merger between two accounting firms with histories going back to the 1970s: Degruchy Norton & Co. of Port Alberni and Walters Williams & Co. of Qualicum Beach. The two firms merged on September 1, 2004 to form one firm with two offices that not only serve the local communities of Qualicum Beach, Parksville and Port Alberni but serve a broad range of clients throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

We provide professional services to corporations, individuals, partners, societies, not-for-profit and First Nations in a wide range of industries that include forestry, fishing, construction, tourism, retail and wholesale trade and service, consulting and professional activities. We also provide services in financial planning, estate planning, tax preparation, tax planning and retirement planning.
